All is said and done for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to commission some 75 Greenhouses and Entrepreneurship Innovative Centre at Dawhenya Irrigation site.
President Nana Akufo-Addo on Thursday,13th August,2020, commissioned seventy-five (75) greenhouses, an entrepreneurship and innovation centre constructed by the Business Development Ministry and the National Entrepreneurship and Innovations Plan.
Commissioning the facility on Thursday, the incumbent President stated categorically that, “this is the biggest green village estate in the country. Ghana is indeed one of few in West Africa to climb on this ladder”, and will help present agriculture as a decent venture from which Ghanaian youth can earn a livelihood on.
With the World Bank estimating that agriculture and agribusiness together could command a $1 trillion presence in Africa’s continental economy by 2030, compared to $313 billion in 2010, the incumbent President noted that the establishment of the greenhouse estate is of such significance to the country.
President Akufo-Addo progressed on, “This greenhouse initiative, is an integral part of the Programme for Planting for Food and Jobs. So, I entreat the Ministry of Business Development to continue to work together effectively with the Ministries of Food and Agriculture and of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, to enhance the prospects of success of this venture.”
This project by the Government will go a long way to create jobs foe other people around and in the constituency. As it being one of the missions of the incumbent President, to supply Jobs for the people of Ghana.
