Popular pornographic website in Ghana EmpressLeak which is operated by Anderson Ofosuhene Anim also known as Mario Gee has been granted bail after he was arrested by the Cybercrime Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
Mario Gee was arrested due to charges of Money laundering, pornography and breach of provisions of cybercrime. It was disclosed that the site came under scrutiny from the police for publishing pornographic material of Ghanaians on their blindside, adding that he collected money from victims to upload photos and videos on site but eventually refused.
He appeared before the court on Wednesday August 19, 2020 and was granted bail in the sum ¢300,000 with two sureties to be justified with landed property.
Recall that Mario Gee was arrested on 30th January 2020 at his plush residence in Osino in the Eastern Region with loads of pornographic material which was being uploaded onto his website.
The court presided by Susana Eduful however adjourned the case to October 12, awaiting the advice from the Attorney General’s Department.
