For two weeks Nigeria has been rocked by protests that erupted against police violence and evolved into broader anti-government demonstrations led by the country’s youth, leading to a deadly crackdown.
Young people mobilising through social media began staging demonstrations calling for the abolition of the federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), which has long been accused of unlawful arrests, torture and extrajudicial killings.
H.S Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo is a firm supporter of the Nigeria’s “#ENDSARS”. The Ghanaian President is supporting and rooting out for the Nigeria’s to come of this disaster. The President, took to his social media page to support the Nigerians.
“I join all wells-meaning persons in calling for calm, and the use of dialogue in resolving the #endsars impasse in Nigeria. I have spoken with President Buhari, who is committed to this end and has begun the possesses that will lead to reform 1/2”, he tweeted.
