There have been near-daily protests over police brutality across Nigeria for nearly two weeks now and up till now we have not seen any improvement. Soldiers shot at protesters in the Lekki district of Lagos on Tuesday evening.
LAGOS (Reuters) – The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Wednesday urged Nigerian security forces to “exercise restraint” in handling protests and to act professionally.
With so much killing going on in Nigeria, and precious lives being lost, the ECOWAS Commission urged the security in Nigeria to take things on the low.
This must end, we need the people alive. Let’s stop special anti-robbery squad now.
