His excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, president of the 4th republic under the 8th parliament is set to go before parliament and address the Nation for the very first time under his second term since he resumed office on the 7th of January, 2021 when he was inaugurated as the president of the country.
The event is scheduled for 1:00 pm today, 9th March, 2021 at Parliament House. The State of the Nation address is in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 constitution of Ghana. The president of the republic of Ghana has to go before parliament at the beginning of each session and before the dissolution of parliament to address the Nation. “the President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before a dissolution of Parliament, deliver to Parliament a message on the state of the nation”.
The president is set to tackle on basic issues that the country is battling with and how best he will find pertinent solutions with his cabinet members as his term of office rolls up.
