Eden Michael Hazard is one of the greatest football stars in the world who performs extraordinarily in the field of play. He was born on January 7, 1991 in Belgium. Known for his creativity, dribbling and passing, he is considered one of the best wingers of his generation.
Hazard is the son of two former footballers. He began his football career in Belgium playing for local youth clubs. In 2005, he moved to France, where he began his senior career with Ligue 1 club Lille. Hazard spent two years in the club’s academy and, at the age of 16, made his professional debut in November 2007. He became an integral part of the Lille team under manager, Rudi Garcia. In his first full season, he became the first non-French player to win the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award, and the following season became the first player to win the award twice. In the 2010–11 season, he was part of the Lille team that won the league and cup double and, as a result of his performances, was named the Ligue 1 Player of the Year, the youngest player to win the award.
After making over 190 appearances and scoring 50 goals for Lille, Hazard signed for English club Chelsea in June 2012. He won the UEFA Europa League in his first season and the PFA Young Player of the Year in his second. In the 2014–15 season, Hazard helped Chelsea win the League Cup and Premier League, earning him the FWA Footballer of the Year and the PFA Players’ Player of the Year awards. Two years later he won his second English league title as Chelsea won the 2016–17 Premier League. In 2018, he won the FA Cup, and was named in the FIFA World XI (world eleven). He won the Europa League again with Chelsea in June 2019. Hazard has also contributed greatly to the Belgian National team and in 2018 he led the team to the semi-final stage of the world cup played in Russia. There is no doubt that Hazard is indeed a naturally gifted footballer and one of the deadliest dribblers in the world of football.
Moving on to the next stage, Real Madrid football club in Spain had a great interest in Hazard due to his quality and marvelous performance he showcased at Chelsea FC. In 2019 Hazard joined Real Madrid in a transfer worth up to €150 million. However, since Hazard joined the Spanish club, things have not been going on well for him and he is not scoring goals as he used to score in his former clubs (Lille and Chelsea) and fans are asking why this is happening to him. Hazard has been facing injury problems and that is why he is not performing as expected.
According to Dr. Jose Gonzalez, a worker for Atletico Madrid, a third ankle operation for Hazard has the potential to end his footballing career forever. “A third operation on Eden Hazard’s ankle is very risky, there could be the possibility that the player would not play football again.” This is a very big blow to all fans and supporters of Hazard hearing this information that their favorite player’s football career could be over. Hazard is a player who is dear to us and medical experts are doing everything to make sure he gets well soon. There are some moments in your life where your success, shine and fame suddenly declines but what you have to do is stay strong and endure this pain because no situation is permanent.
