GHANA LOSES TO MOROCCO IN AN INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY MATCH.

The Ghana National Team has come out the best in most of the friendly games played with a number of countries. Even though some changes have been made as far as the Black Star squad is concerned, victory has always been on the team’s side. On 8th June 2021, Ghana stood up against the Atlas Lions of Morocco in a friendly match to prepare them towards the African Cup of Nations qualifiers for 2022.

The heated match.

The match took place in the city of Rabat (Morocco) in the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium and before going into the match, the Black stars team were very optimistic and had high hopes of securing a win against their opponents but unfortunately, their expectations were shattered and refuted because they lost to Morocco by a lone goal. Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey and Mubarak Wakaso did not feature in the came which is very inappropriate and a big blow to the face of Ghanaian supporters.

The winners.

However, the Ghanaian team played very well with a number of attempts on goal. The ball was well possessed at the center of the pitch even though there were some unpardonable mistakes committed by the players. The Black Stars team was punished when Jamal El Yamiq headed in a cross from the Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech to score the only goal in the game from an error made by Razak Abalora, the goal keeper for the Ghanaian side.

The Black Stars.

In spite of Ghana’s loss, Mohammed Kudus and Baba  Iddrisu were greatly commended for their display of splendid performance in the game. The Blacks Stars will be returning to the country today to prepare for their next friendly game against Ivory coast in two days time. We wish that they attain good results at the end of the game. Losing to Morocco does not mean we are  a failure rather it sets in motion our ability to strive forward and correct our mistakes so we reap the expected results we have always craved for.
