Kwadwo Amoako (born 12 December 1998) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Ghanaian Premier League side Ashanti Gold Soccer Club in Obuasi. Amoako started his career with Techiman Eleven Wonders FC, he played for the club in the 2019 Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee Special Competition.
He moved to Ashanti Gold in 2019, ahead of the 2019–2020 Ghana Premier League season.In November 2020, Amoako got his first call up to the Ghana national football team for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications double header match against the Sudan national football team due to his style of play on the pitch.
The strong defender who was born in Techiman endured a difficult childhood which ultimately led him to become the bread-winner of the family through a bus conductor.
During an interview with Juliet Bawuah’s GPLXpress show on TV3 the player said “it was during JSS time I was a footballer my brother got hurt and I was the only one to fight to ensure the family got daily bread so that made me stop school to take the carrier as a bus conductor to make a living for myself and take care of the family as well”.
The valiant defender worked for over two years to ensure he had put his family on a good grounds before opting out to pursue his dream as a professional footballer “I was a mate for about two years before I came back to take my boots to start my football career again, I was able to cater for my sibling to complete school which was JSS and SHS in a way that was going to help them to also achieve their dreams” he indicated.
Kwadwo Amoako puts his family first in everything he does and sees them as his first priority in this life which clearly shows that he is a character full of good motives and also possesses the virtue of selflessness and humility.
