The Finance Minister, Hon Ken Ofori-Attah under the ticket of the incumbent political party, NPP presented the 2021 mid-year budget review to Parliament on Thursday, July 29 2021.

The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta presented the budget review in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) since it was to be presented not later than 31st July 2021. The budget submission according to the ministry of finance is directed towards a high advancement and an unprecedented development as far as the the country’s economy is concerned.

It also seeks to create job opportunities for the youth to keep them occupied and also aid them in making ends meet in order to cater for themselves and their families as well. Social vices within the youth sphere which has become the order of the day and headache to the government could also be brought to a standstill with job opportunities created.

The finance minister also disclosed that government will not go in for any additional funding and supplementary budget for the next half of 2021 financial year. He also indicated that the economy is at a stage of gradual recovery and the country will surely get there. He assured the general public.
