Sergio Kun Aguero is a gifted footballer signed by FC Barcelona from Manchester City in England due to his spectacular performance on the field of play. However, Sergio Aguero is unlikely to make his Barcelona debut until late October at the earliest after a right calf injury prevents him from action around 10 weeks.
The Argentine striker joined Barca as a free agent in the summer after his 10-year Manchester City contract came to an end. Barca is set to begin their first La Liga campaign since 2003-2004 without their playmaker, Lionel Messi, who expressed an emotional farewell on Sunday after the club was unable to keep the Argentine.
With the club preparing for life without the six-time Ballon d’Or winner, another problem pops up as of Aguero sustains an injury just six days before their league opener against Real Sociedad. Aguero joined as a free agent in the summer after his 10-year stay at Manchester City came to an end, and the 10-week absence means he may not make his first Barca appearance until late October at the earliest.
“Tests carried out on first-team player Kun Aguero have confirmed a right calf injury. He will be out around ten weeks,” Barcelona said in an official statement.
