The black stars of Ghana have a crucial game to play against its neighbour state that is the super green eagles of Nigeria on Friday, March 22, 2022.
This game is meant to determine the fate of both teams as far as the world cup qualification is concerned. One team would have to make it through while the other gets kicked out. Both teams have met against each other in the past and wins either go in favour of one team or the other.
The game will be in two folks that is the first leg which will take place in Kumasi, Baba Yara sports stadium and the second leg which will be played in Nigeria.
Ghana had a poor performance at the AFCON and will be looking forward to thrashing their opponents in order to qualify for the world cup and Nigeria on the other hand have high hopes of beating Ghana hands down in both legs but the fact of the matter is that, assumptions will be made a reality at the end of both phases.
With time, the winner of this long-awaited cracker match will be known. However, the squad for both teams have been announced and players who play in Europe have been called up to feature for their countries in both matches.
Interim coach for the black stars, Otoo Addo together with the other technical members revealed Ghana’s squad yesterday and some players have been maintained while new ones have been brought to join the team for the upcoming world cup qualifier game against the super green eagles.
The Skipper Dede Ayew will not feature for the match due to a red card procured in a match for a lustrous challenge at the AFCON. Ghanaians are very optimistic that their country will carry the day despite the team’s flawed performance at the continental cup.
