The four policemen, Constables Yaro Afisu Ibrahim, Albert Ofosu, Richard Boadu and Rabiu Jambedu, and one Razak Alhassan, alias Zak, said to be a scrap dealer, who were allegedly involved in bullion van robbery appeared before the court today, after they were denied bail in their last appearance.

The Ghana police service presided by the competent Inspector General Of Police ( IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare announced on March 8, the arrest of four police suspects and one civilian involved in a bullion van attack.
The said bullion van robbery happened last year at Kingsway, Baatsona, Jamestown and North Kaneshie Industrial Area.

Following investigations, police detained the accused and ordered that they are brought before court today, Monday 25th, thus after appearing before court after the third time.
Counsel for the accused during the last court hearing subjected for bail of the accused stating that they are policemen and cannot escape arrest or leave custody hurriedly.

The prosecutor named Sylvester Asare, objected to this plea and however opposed that the suspects be kept into police custody.
Judge presiding, Justice Patricia Amponsah, found the reasons of the counsel for the suspects not enough feasible for bailing the suspects. She therefore ordered that the suspects remain remanded in police custody.
