Barcelona Legend Lionel Messi has handed in a transfer request to leave the club. He is no more comfortable with the club team anymore.
Sources have confirmed that, 33 year old footballer star sent a fax asking the club to activate a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave this summer, with his contract set to expire next season.
Since making his debut in 2004 ,Messi has won 10 LaLiga and 4 Champion’s League and a six times Ballon d’or winner but it seems he is not happy with the club after they went without any trophies last season and a humiliating defeat to Bayern in the champions league quarter finals on 14 August .
However it looks Barcelona President Bartomeu and some of the board members wants him to stay and will stand firm with Messi €700million release clause with a meeting happening in coming days for them to take the next step.
