ASPIRING ASSEMBLYMAN OF BUBUASHIE UNDERTAKES AUSPICIOUS COMMUNITY CLEAN UP EXERCISE.

The aspiring Assemblyman of the Bubuashie community in the Greater Accra Metropolis, Mr. Prince Mensah Nartey, championed a community clean-up exercise with the aim of instilling the highest level of cleanliness in his locality as the Homowo festival approaches.

This sanitation event occurred on Saturday August 6, 2022 where everything was set in motion from the Tiny star junction to the Nikoi Olai street.

The community youth trooped in in their numbers to participate in this collective sanitation exercise which saw the desilting of choked gutters, sweeping and the clearing of weeds. The youth danced to the authentic Ghanaian musical tunes as they took part in the exercise. Mr. Mensah Nartey participated fully in the whole exercise.

A section of the clean-up participants shared their candid thoughts on the sanitation initiative spearheaded by Mr. Patrick and how effective it is for improving the health conditions of the people and developing the Bubuashie community in the long run.

They also called upon the District and Municipal Chief Executives to enact by-laws which will ensure the continuity of the sanitation programme. It shouldn’t be a one-day wonder, they said.

Exclusively, Mr. Patrick Nartey, iterated that he organized this clean-up exercise not for political reasons but as an illustrious son of the Bubuashie locality. According to him, this initiative will be sustainable and it is a priority to see Bubuashie become one of the cleanest localities in Ghana.

The media also showed up to grace the event.
