Mahama Pledges Amnesty For Jailed “Galamseyers” If Re-Elected.

One of the basic things that the country frowns upon is the act of Galamsey. Galamsey, derived from the phrase “gather them and sell”, is a local Ghanaian term which means illegal small-scale gold mining in Ghana. Such workers are known as galamseyers or orpailleurs in neighboring Francophone nations.

As the country frowns upon such a thing, the incumbent President has done several possible way he can to combat the act of galamsey in every part of the country, but most especially in the outskirts.

On the incumbent President’s guard to accomplish the task of stopping the act of galamsey, he has jailed most of them for turning a deaf ear to his cautions and warmings.

But there will be smiles on these faces pretty soon, that’s how the biggest opposition party will go about it. He says, if you vote me into power once more, I will offer amnesty to all you.
