News which was gathered that a financier of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Akwasi Banahene, has been shot dead.
The late Banahene was a member of the party at Asunafo North in the Ahafo region of Ghana. He was shot on Friday, August 21, 2020 at his residence at Mim in the same region.
The identities of those behind the act remain unknown and his body has been deposited at the Goaso Municipal Hospital for autopsy.
