Four heavy trucks heading to Tema from Accra have been involved in an accident, leading to the death of a driver’s mate.
An incoming heavily loaded ‘club bear’ truck after an abrupt break, due to the initial crash on the road, ended up crashing too, pouring the load full of beers on the road. About 10 cars have been crashed due to accident including a toyota corola and a Renault.
According to an eye witness, a driver’s mate who was trying to put a block infront of a ‘trotro’ ended up under the car when it was hit by an incoming Kia, causing his death.
This has resulted in a heavy traffic on the Accra to Tema motorway.
The accidents are two according to the eye witnesses, an initial one where no one died and a latter one which killed one.
The actual cause of the accidents is unknown. Some persons at the accident scene have taken advantage of the situation to drink beer as they help offload trucks.
