The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has intercepted 152kg of cocaine at the Tema Harbour in Accra.

The illicit narcotic substance was hidden in a shipment of sugar from Brazil, which was received at the port.
In a statement issued on Saturday, 26 September 2020, the NACOC stated that the interception was a result of intelligence sharing with the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and the National Security Council Secretariat.

UGC The narcotic commission revealed that laboratory tests confirmed the substances retrieved from the consignment on September 12, 2020, were truly cocaine. Arrests have however, been made arrested and are currently assisting with investigations.
