An articulated truck with registration plate GT 8337 X, said to be carrying very heavy gallons of engine oil has skidded off the Kwame Nkrumah circle overpass. The accident happened around 9:00 pm on Friday evening.
Andrew, an eye witness, reported that, the brakes of the truck failed; forcing the vehicle to recess. The driver, in an attempt to navigate the vehicle towards the rail, burst a rear tyre and lost control of the incident.
The police and fire service are presently at the scene.
