The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the resuming date of all Public Basic Schools in the country. The reopening date has been set to Tuesday, 18th January, 2022.
This announcement was posted on the official Facebook page of the Service yesterday, 13th January, 2022 to inform the general public the actual date to which the students are to report to school.

The announcement comes as a mix feeling to parents, guidance, teachers and students who were skeptical about the resuming date because of the past Yuletide ( Christmas season).
However, some private schools in the country have reopened for the current academic term. Other levels are expected to resume on some expected dates as shown below.

Vacation was postponed for certain pupils, especially the Primary 4 pupils, who participated in the ever maiden National Standardised Test (NST) which was managed all over the country on Friday, December 17, 2021.
“The extra one week will be compensated for during the next academic year to ensure students and teachers enjoy the number of weeks of vacation period,” the GES said this before the Christmas holidays.
